“Be Soft.
Do not let the world make you hard.
Do not let pain make you hate.
Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness.”

This will be followed by a 30 minute Yoga Nidra (or yoga sleep): a guided meditation for deep rest and nourishment.

All levels of yoga practice are invited, including complete beginners.

The cost is $20.

Dee Monroe’s Bio

I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2010. I studied with Karuna Erickson and Alli Bogard in Nelson B.C.

Coming to yoga rather late in life-I was in my 50s-my mantra has been “if you have breath in your body, you can do yoga”

I spent a year in Windsor, Ontario teaching yoga before moving to Chilliwack, B. C. There I found a niche teaching chair yoga and floor yoga to Seniors, along with Hatha classes, Kid and Family Yoga, Yin Yoga, Gentle Flow, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Nidra.

My style is quite slow with an emphasis on the breath and connecting with self-mind, body and spirit.

I remain true to my original mantra “If you have breath in your body you can do yoga”

*COVID protocols will be in place, with masks worn upon entering the Oakdene and the gym, and masks taken off when you are on your mat. Mats are spaced 6 ft. apart (with tape on the floor as guidelines). Proof of double vaccination required.
