“Needle & Thread, Limbs and a Head”
In March and April we have various workshops coming up at the Oakdene Centre, 1913 Clementsvale Road, Bear River.

These will be very small class sizes (between 4 and 6) and most of them by donation. With the promise of tea and cookies l am sure you will want to attend!

At the end of April, Oakdene’s Studio #4 will present a doll/puppet/plushie show or rather anything that has “Limbs and a Head”. This is an open show so please start building.

Sunday March 1, 11-3pm- Introduction to the Sewing Machine with Margaret, Ginny and Ken. How to thread a machine, hem your pants, the kind of class Robbie and Pete should take. By donation.

Thursday March 5, 1-4 pm- Creating a Simple Stuffed Cloth Rabbit with Judy Maher. By donation.

Sunday March 8 – Basic Needle Felting with Sarah Snider. By donation.

Sunday March 15 – Rug Hooking with Hooked on Fiber Studio, a six-hour class making a 7” mug rug. This class normally costs $45.00 per person, but you will only have to pay $20.00 as Oakdene will cover the other half.

Sunday March 22 – Doll Sculpting with Cathy Smith, using wire armatures and air dry clay. By Donation.

Sunday April 5th – Doll Head Sculpting with Christine Callaghan using polymer clay. By Donation.
