Bear River Waterfront Market – Are you In?

Bear River waterfront

There has been some discussion about starting up the Bear River market again this summer.  The tentative plan is to have the market open on Wednesdays from 5 to 8 pm starting in July and running through to the end of August.
The plan would be to focus on

  • music performances
  • farm produce
  • art/craft items
  • licensed food vendors.

The Bear River Legion has agreed to allow the musical acts to use electricity from their building with the idea that those wanting to listen to the music could enjoy refreshments on their new deck.  This is not a small job and I am looking for 2 people who would be willing to take on, as a volunteer, certain aspects of the coordinating.

I am happy to organize the music but require:

  1. someone who could do the advertising
  2. someone who could do the job of searching for vendors

The plan is still in the early stages so any suggestions are more than welcome.  If you are interested please contact me, Carolyn Buck at 902 982 4005 or send me a message at warmlywoven@hotmail.com. …and title the email…BR market.  If you are a vendor I would like to hear from you as well. I  want to know how much interest there is in the area.  This could be a wonderful community event and a showcase for tourists.
