Good afternoon to our tourism and related sector partners,
In Nova Scotia we are competing with dozens of upcoming global tourism destinations, many of which are luring consumers with cheap airfares, deep discounting, or their exotic appeal. But we know that the vast majority of visitors to Nova Scotia absolutely love it. We also know that we have many amazing attractions and experiences on offer. What we need to remain competitive is to offer MORE of them.
Gone are the days of families coming to Nova Scotia simply to view our gorgeous scenery, take photos and move on. Today’s visitor is seeking experiential travel; that is, travel which is hands-on, which engages all the senses, travel that educates through doing, through learning from local people about local cultures, lifestyles, history and cuisine. Most of all, experiential travel is transformational, leaving rich, lifelong memories. Take a look at some great experiential travel offerings described on the links below:

To help you learn to develop experiential packages, we invite you to participate in “Creating a Nova Scotia Tourism Experience”. This workshop will include input from local experiential tourism operators, representatives from our Nova Scotia Department of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism, as well as business people like yourself – a terrific opportunity for networking, learning and perhaps even some inspiration! We will also set you up with the tools you need to register your business on novascotia.com. This rich resource receives hundreds of thousands of hits annually, and is the most effective no-cost opportunity to market your business.
Registration is limited, so please contact me as soon as possible to reserve your place, or should you have any questions. We look forward to working with you to develop unique travel experiences for our visitors!
