Meet the volunteer board of The Fiddlehead Market Co-op and hear all the information about the new market, products, programs and some of the benefits of becoming a member and owner

There will be an opportunity to share opinions, ask questions and to become one of our first members

WHAT IS A CO-OP?

A co-op is a store owned by its members.

You buy a share or volunteer to become a member, then can vote on how it’s run. Anyone can shop at the co-op, not just members.

At giant grocery chains, prices go up so executives get bonuses. At a co-op, there are no executives to pay. Any money left over at the end of the year is given to its members or gets reinvested in the store.

Co-ops consistently charge fairer prices because the model doesn’t allow for anything else.
