Dear Friends and Acquaintances
This message is to invite you to the launch of my new and first novel. Published by Moose House Publications, it is a fictional story that takes place in and around Bear River in the current decade and is entitled “A Ring of Justice.” On Saturday, 12 November from 2-4pm, I will be talking about, reading from and selling and signing copies of this book at the Sissiboo Café in Bear River.

If you are not able to come on November 12th, I will be having a similar event on November 19th at the Mad Hatter book store in Annapolis Royal, also 2-4pm, and I will be flogging my wares once more at the Bear River Winter Craft Fair on November 26th at the Oakdene Centre.
I hope you can come!!
Writing a novel and being its publicist is a whole new world for me, but here I go! If you can spread the word about this launch by any means available to you, I will be most grateful.
Ted Leighton

A Ring of Justice
Rick Robichaud abandoned science to stay home and support his wife’s career as a veterinarian near the village of Bear River, Nova Scotia, where old ways and new, fair play and foul, generosity and crime weave threads of joy and hatred, contentment and murder. Rick must untangle the threads to reveal startling truths, uncertain justice and the enduring power of friendship. Everything you want in an entertaining story is here: nice people, nasty people, kind deeds, dirty deeds, and unofficial justice, from grisly to satisfying. Loose-knit communities along the Annapolis Valley's western end are tight-knit when they need to be. There's even a stay-at-home dad who doesn't stay home much. Male-volent bikers, a family fortune, poison, guns, gasoline... Leighton tells a great story. Jan Fancy Hull, author of the Tim Brown Mystery Series
