REVOLUTION & RESISTANCE
Conversation Café: Sat, Jan 27, 1-3 pm, 2018
Until the end of February 2018 artworks from the private collections of Bear River residents, Flora Doehler and Susan Friend, are on display at Sissiboo Coffee Bar and Gallery, Bear River. The posters, postcards and original etchings give glimpses of the human struggle for survival and the fight for basic human needs.
These powerful works have sparked a lot of conversations that are worthy of continuing. Join facilitator Tony Kelly for an informal discussion that will aim to explore the concepts of revolution and resistance from a personal perspective.
Preliminary questions to consider are:
How does a person come to know that the world we live in is not quite right? How did I come to that realization? And once plagued by such knowledge what do we do with it, about it?
This event is free and open to all. Sissiboo Coffee Roaster values free speech but expects that differing opinions are delivered open-heartedly and with respect for the art of conversation.
