The late 1960’s and the 1970’s was a heyday period for printmaking in Canada. Many artists created serigraphs (silkscreen), lithographs, and woodcuts. A collection of these is coming to Digby’s Public Library for May and June.

This travelling exhibition of prints by Canadian artists will be on display in the library Program Room from May 3 to June 30 during open hours.
A list of the artists and their art is here. The ArtReach program is in partnership with Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, the Department of Education, and Canada Council for the Arts (Art Bank).
The program brings a travelling art exhibition to local venues and enables local artists to engage students through a series of workshops to allow the students to participate in the creation of art, to see the exhibitions, and to start discussions around art. The focus of the ArtReach program this year is print-making. The public is invited to view these works.
