February 14, 15, 16th

FRIDAY 14

Anytime till 3 pm Saturday.  Build a snow sculpture and enter the big prize contest.
 Anyone can enter and build along the Bear River waterfront or at your home (to build at your home you must be in the Bear River area.) Free! 4:00 pm till end of winter Rink Opens.  Free skating behind Bear River Legion.

4:00 – 8:00 pm Oakdene Winter Studio Tour. Free. At 1913 Clementsvale Rd., Bear River. Artist and artisan studios open to the public. Show continues Feb 15 and 16, noon to 4 pm. Contact Clare Thorbes clare.thorbes@gmail.com

5:00 until the end of the Carnival (evening of the 16th.)  Crazy Carpet Castle Opens.  Free sledding on crazy carpets or snowsuits only.  Crazy carpets provided.  Behind Bear River Legion.  Contact Bonnie MacLeod  Bonnie.mac@eastlink.ca  467-0390

5:00 -5:30 pm  Lighting of the Ice Candles and Ice Candle Contest.  Free.  Behind the Bear River Legion. All entries welcome.  Enter to win and help by putting your ice candles around the rink or town. Prize presentation @ 5:30pm.  Contact Sue Comeau 467-3258  allwaysgardening@ns.sympatico.ca

6:00 – 8:00 pm “Fables and Fairy Tales” Show Opening. A multi media group art show at The Oakdene Centre in Bear River. Show continues Feb 15 and 16th, (ten am to four pm). Free. Contact: Ken Flett  kenflett@gmail.com

 7:00 -9:00 pm Myrtle & Rosies Dinner and Live Music. Reservations: 467-0176. Filet Mignon, Caesar Salad, Chocolate Raspberry Triffle. Downtown Main St. Bear River

8:00 pm “Acres & Acres” concert. A Licensed event at the Rebekah Hall. Tickets $12.00 in advance, $15.00 at the door. Limited seating. Tickets @ Magoos, Bear River Bargains and Books, Sissiboo Coffee at the Annapolis Winter Saturday Market or call 467-0357.

9:00 am – 11:00 am Club 400 Winter Active team.  Free.  @ Bear River Waterfront Park by rink.  Kick sledding, Nordic walking, and snowshoeing. Contact: Brian Orde  borde@annapoliscounty.ca

10:00 am – 3:00 pm Free hot drinks and warm up spot @Changing Tides Diner. Sponsored by NSCC CCA course. A Paws for Life fundraiser.

8:00 am – 4:00 pm A Gentle Cross Country Ski Over 7 Lakes. Trip 10.75 miles or 17.3 Km Bring your own lunch and water.  Meet at Bear River Fire Hall at 8am.  Contact: Sue Comeau  467-3258 allwaysgardening@ns.sympatico.ca
