Bear River as tourist destination

We found Bear River to be enchanting. The galleries, wineries, cafe, and the whole ambiance were very enjoyable. As it turns out, Bear River was one of the highlights of our entire two-plus weeks in Nova Scotia. What a charming little town. – Roger Brooks report

In 2009, the Province hired tourism consultant Roger Brooks to take his team through Nova Scotia as a ‘mystery shopper’ to experience life from a tourist’s point of view.

Some of his comments were good, some weren’t, but all were made in the spirit of helping communities attract more tourism.

Based on his findings, he prepared a document containing comments and recommendations which the province is encouraging all communities to incorporate into their tourism and economic development plans.

Come and hear the results tonight! All are welcomed!
