We hope you’ll visit our unique village on stilts on Saturday, July 22nd and support the local Bear River Volunteer Fire Department’s annual fundraiser – The 130th Cherry Carnival!
There’s a full day of events planned to keep all ages entertained beginning with a yummy pancake & sausage breakfast at the Fire Hall followed by the Children’s Parade and then, Grand Street Parade! There’s an all-day canteen and musical entertainment at the Fire Hall AND, at the Bear River Legion, there’s all-day Washer Toss, Live Music, a Beer Garden and so much more happening throughout the village.

Don’t miss out on watching the afternoon’s favorite event – the Greased Pole – followed by the canoe races! Also, an Antique Car Parade at 3:30pm!
The fireworks display at dusk is not to be missed. The Bear River Fire Department never disappoints and it’s always a spectacular show in the village.

In advance of the BIG DAY, join others for a Hymn Sing at the fire hall on Wed, July 19, 7-9pm
PARADE REGISTRATION AND LINEUP STARTS AT 8:30 AM.
PLEASE COME IN ON RIVER ROAD…. If you are taking the highway that is Exit 24 Smiths Cove beside Bear River Bridge and follow the river down until you see signs for Parade Registration.


Bear River Legion is hosting a pet parade for Cherry Carnival. Starting at 2 p.m.; on the waterfront, just past the Cenotaph. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd,& 3rd places.
*all pets must be on leash
*please pick up after your pets
*No aggressive animals
If you wish to take part in the parade complete the online registration.
Car, truck, motorcycle, float, walking, dancing, any combination you can think of is welcome. If your option is not there simply fill out the “other” section!
Small business, big business, personal, whatever tickles your fancy! Bring it along and make it a spectacular parade!
