Turning the Tide / Inspiring Communities is hosting gatherings in a few communities in the Digby area. We plan to host gatherings in Digby, Weymouth, Brier Island, Barton-Brighton, and Bear River.

Currently two venues are booked.

Oakdene Centre, Bear River on July 5^th 6-7 p.m.

Barton Firehall on July 12^th 6-7 p.m.

The purpose of these initial gatherings is to bring together folks who are involved in food in each of the geographical areas. This meaning gardeners, food bank workers, food security advocates, etc.
We will be collaborating to identify what is happening in each of these geographical areas around food and food security, to learn and share some best practices, and to identify what a larger gathering later in the summer should be centered around.
